Platinor is the consulting label of The Dutch Twin BV, founded by Theo Keuter, a leading entrepreneur and consultant with over 50 years of international experience in the precious metals sector.
Based in the Amsterdam/Diemen region, Platinor advises companies worldwide, with a sharp eye for both strategic opportunities and operational execution.

My journey in precious metals began on May 12, 1975, in the very heart of Amsterdam, at H. Drijfhout & Sons Precious Metals BV, a subsidiary of C.L.A.L. in Paris. After the joint venture with Engelhard, Engelhard-CLAL SAS was formed with headquarters in Paris, where I became a VP. Eventually, I rose to Global CEO of the entire group, leading 1,800 employees. From Paris, I continued building my international career, which took me from Europe to the U.S., the Far East, Africa, and Russia (Siberia). As co-founder of IPMI Europe and recipient of the Founders’ Award, I combine deep industry expertise with strategic vision.
But what defines me most? My ability to simplify complex challenges and connect people around common goals. Whether it’s a startup in precious metals, a real estate development, or an international M&A, I bring clarity where there was chaos.

Background information
Theo Keuter began his career in the precious metals sector in 1975 in Paris and has since built an impressive international career, including serving as CEO of Engelhard-CLAL SAS. He was responsible for 1,800 employees and led operations in the United States, France and China. Later, he founded The Dutch Twin BV, continuing his consulting activities under the name Platinor.
Since 2016, he has played a key role in the European Chapter of the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI), of which he is a co-founder. As former president and current board member of both the European and US branches of IPMI, he acts as an important connecting force within the global precious metals sector.
In 2025, Theo Keuter was honoured with the IPMI Founders’ Award, recognising his decades of contribution to the industry and his role as an international bridge-builder.
